Usher To Play At NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show

At the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in Las Vegas, Usher will be the featured performer.

Before the start of Sunday’s Week 3 games, the NFL announced it with a mashup that included Kim Kardashian and a clip from the music video for Usher’s 2004 smash song “Confessions.”

“Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career, we couldn’t be more excited to have him headline this year’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show,” NFL Head of Music Seth Dudowsky stated in a statement.

“We look forward to working with Usher, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another Halftime Show for the history books.”

After reports surfaced that Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Bad Bunny, or even a medley of boy bands may perform on the NFL’s largest platform, the news finally puts the speculations to rest.

When he was 15 years old, Usher made his music debut.

Usher Raymond, who was born in Atlanta, has nine No. 1 singles and 18 top-10 successes in the Hot 100 chart. The Billboard 200 lists four of his albums as No. 1 albums.

His collaborations with celebrities like Lil’ Jon, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, and will.i.am can be heard on a number of his singles, which will undoubtedly fuel rumors about who might be invited to perform with him.
