As the NBA as a league grows in popularity with each year that passes by, players from all around the world are getting drafted into the league. Lithuanian-American Domantas Sabonis is the perfect example of the same. The 26-year-old was born in Portland, Oregon as the third child to Arvydas Sabonis, who played for the Portland Trail Blazers at the time. 

Given that his father was a professional basketball player, it was only natural for Sabonis to pick up the basketball himself. After playing for a few years in America, Sabonis and his family moved to Spain, where he played basketball for a few clubs before declaring for the draft in 2016. He was selected as the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 draft by the Orlando Magic.

 He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder along with Ersan Ilyasova and Victor Oladipo for Serge Ibaka on draft night. Since then Sabonis has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Indiana Pacers, and currently plays for the Kings.
