Since their 23-20 victory against the Giants in the Wild Card round of the 2006 playoffs, the Eagles haven’t hosted a divisional foe for a playoff game.

The Eagles still have a chance to become only the second NFL team to go undefeated on the way to a championship as things stand right now. The 1972 Dolphins were the first. According to PennStakes data, since 1970, 75.4 percent of teams who started 3-0 have advanced to the postseason.

The 2016 Philadelphia Eagles are one of those 3-0 teams that failed to make the playoffs if you want to pour cold water on an Eagles supporter. With Jalen Hurts playing at MVP caliber, the Eagles have had the NFL’s greatest offense over the past three weeks. Early indications suggest that the Eagles’ 2022 season will be a particularly memorable one. We’ll see whether they can keep going in that direction.
