QB Lamar Jackson Calls Out Mike Florio For What He Said Post Raven Win Against 49ers

The AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens and the NFC-leading San Francisco 49ers faced off on Monday night, and it had all the makings of a legendary game. Even a possible Super Bowl preview. But something triggered the Ravens QB lamar Jackson.

QB Lamar Jackson Calls Out Mike Florio For What He Said Post Raven Win Against 49ers

However, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk didn’t anticipate an especially tight contest. To be more specific, Florio was quite direct when he gave a preview of the game on his podcast with former NFL quarterback Chris Simms on Thursday night: “The 49ers kick the (expletive) out of the Ravens on Monday night.”

Prior to yesterday night’s game, football expert Florio made the stupid prediction that the Niners would easily defeat the Ravens. Florio was then shockingly caught with his foot—or the football—in his mouth.

After the Ravens were defeated 33-19 and touchdowns were scored, Lamar Jackson wanted him and the entire world to know. Yes, and the Ravens defense forced five interceptions in all against starter Brock Purdy and backup Sam Darnold.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Ravens responded after Baltimore won 33–19, kicking the majority of the time.

“You can’t just discredit us,” Jackson said when asked about Florio’s comments. “We’re grown men, we’ve got to feed our families. He can have his opinion, but don’t be just talking like  that. That’s disrespectful. That’s very disrespectful.”

“Our record (isn’t a) fluke. We play ball, and we showed that. He just needs to keep doing his job, but just don’t come off like that towards us. That’s disrespectful, like I said, because he isn’t putting the pads on. If he was putting the pads on, I feel like it would’ve been different for him. He wouldn’t say that. He’d be respectful,” the MVP-contending quarterback said.

Given that the Ravens are continuing to demonstrate that they intend to go long into the playoffs, it would seem that Florio is worried about being on the wrong end of the organization. This is due to Florio’s unexpected apology for his remarks made after Jackson called him out to the football community.

“Lamar is right. I apologize for how I phrased my opinion. I believed the 49ers were dramatically better than every other team in the NFL: Cowboys, Eagles, Chiefs, Dolphins, everyone. The Ravens proved otherwise. They deserve complete and total respect for what they accomplished,” he wrote – something that Florio doesn’t allow his own readers to do on Pro Football Talk anymore.

Does Lamar Jackson have an MVP?

Despite being the top seed, Baltimore’s season ended in the Divisional Round, even though Jackson was the undisputed NFL MVP in 2019. This time around, the quarterback’s only concern is winning in the postseason. “We remember what it was like in 2019 when we were winning regular season games and competing against [teams] similar to this.”

How many TDS does Lamar Jackson have?

Lamar Jackson spent six seasons as a player for the Ravens. He has passed for 118 touchdowns and 15,314 yards. He earned one MVP award and was chosen to participate in two Pro Bowls.
