Pittsburgh Steelers’ Myles Jack Fantasy: LB NFL Defensive Data, Stats & Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

Jack was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 36th overall choice in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Jack agreed to a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 17, 2022.

The Steelers immediately jumped in to acquire Jack, who led his club with 108 tackles in 16 games last season, after the Jaguars let the 2016 second-round pick go. The linebacker, who will turn 27 in September, is anticipated to play inside linebacker for Pittsburgh in the upcoming season with Devin Bush.

Jack comes across as a naturally talented linebacker with the quickness to sprint from sideline to sideline in search of the ball and the ability to cover in pass coverage.

Myles Jack fantasy data

Myles Jack struggles at times to fend off blocks and performs at his best when free to dash to the ball. Playing on a defense that leaked yards and points to the opponent in droves after the 2017 unit disintegrated around him probably contributed to his lack of overall output during his tenure with the Jaguars.

Jack‘s general lack of highlight plays to begin his NFL career goes along with his uneven performance as a downhill run defender. Given the number of splash plays we have seen and how well regarded Jack was as a player coming out of UCLA, one would expect that a guy with Jack’s ability level would have produced more of them than he has so far.

Jack did reach 100 tackles in both 2020 and 2021, and he has 82 NFL starts to his credit, despite the fact that he didn’t live up to the agreement.
