Phillies Troll Orlando Arcia Post NLDS Victory Over Braves

For the second year in a row, the Philadelphia Phillies will compete in the National League Championship Series.

They defeated their division foe Atlanta Braves in the NLDS round three games to one, finishing both series at Citizens Bank Park.

Aside from the highly anticipated battle between the 104-win Braves and the 90-win Phillies, Atlanta shortstop Orlando Arcia was recorded ridiculing Bryce Harper after Game 2.

Now, the Braves shortstop is being mocked by Phillies players, who would love nothing more than to put salt in Arcia’s open and new wounds. And, during the Phillies’ champagne celebration of their NLDS triumph, one player had Arcia’s notorious last words etched on a t-shirt, bringing the ridicule to a whole new level.

During Philadelphia’s postgame celebration following a 3-1 Game 4 win over Atlanta, youngster Orion Kerkering was seen wearing a light blue T-shirt with the words “Atta boy Harper” on the front, blatantly mocking the Braves’ Orlando Arcia.

Arcia discussed his statements after the game.

“He can look wherever he wants,” Arcia said through an interpreter, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I can’t control where he looks. He can look wherever he wants to look. … He wasn’t supposed to hear it. I feel like whatever is said in the clubhouse stays in the clubhouse.”

It’s easy to presume that this was communicated to the Philadelphia players, who utilized it as an incentive as they returned home for Games 3 and 4.

After winning the series and advancing to the NLCS, the Phillies celebrated in the locker room by making fun of Arcia.

Philadelphia did an excellent troll job by waiting until after the series to reply to those comments.
