Packers’ De’Vondre Campbell Rips Adam Schein Over Jordan Love Criticism

With Jordan Love attempting to replace Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers may have the more concerns at training camp than any other NFL club.

Packers’ De’Vondre Campbell Rips Adam Schein Over Jordan Love Criticism

A furious response from current Packers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, a former Minnesota Gophers linebacker, and Adam Schein, a former first-round pick, came as Love’s performance was being scrutinized by the media. Campbell rushed to the aid of his quarterback.

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love was harshly criticized by Packers defender De’Vondre Campbell for saying on his CBS Sports Network show that he “can’t play football, simple as that.”

The story started when Matthew Schneidman of The Athletic reported that the Packers’ offence has been having trouble throughout training camp. Love acknowledged that things aren’t going well at Ray Nitschke Field since the Packers had to perform up-downs after practice following yet another subpar performance.

“It was very frustrating,” Love said in the report. “I think we’re all pretty tired of it. Kudos to the defence, but obviously, it’s disappointing as an offence collectively as a whole. It’s definitely an area that we need to step up and figure out how we can turn that thing around.”

Even though Schein hasn’t attended practice, he only needed to read a piece about it to realize the starting quarterback in his first season will be a “disaster.”

That was plenty for Schein to pounce, and on the episode of his show Time to Schein airing on Friday, he spoke out against Love.

“I loathe Love … I despise Love,” Schein began. “I mean, everyone looks great during preseason practices apparently for Jordan Love, who by his own admission his struggled … I mean, this is a flat-out debacle. It’s also predictable because Jordan Love can’t play football. Simple as that.”

“Ain’t no way you just got on here with that baggy ass Steve Harvey suit and them thick ass dollar tree glasses and disrespected my QB by saying he can’t play football,” Campbell tweeted.

“He only has one career start, let him play at least half a season before you open your big dumbass mouth.”

After three years of supporting Aaron Rodgers, Love is entering his first season as the Packers starter.

He was taken by the Packers with the 26th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah State after they moved up.
