NFL To Launch Apparel Line With Drake’s OVO

A partnership between the National Football League and Canadian musician Drake’s clothing line October’s Very Own (OVO) has been revealed, and it will include NFL-licensed gear for a few teams.

The collection will feature t-shirts, hoodies, and jackets co-branded with the OVO owl logo and the logos and colours of all 32 NFL teams. Lil Wayne, a rapper, will represent the Green Bay Packers in a social media promotion for the NFL, and Benny the Butcher, a singer, will represent the Buffalo Bills.

With just two weeks until the Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, everything related to the NFL is likely to be a hit, especially when it comes to attire that supporters can flaunt in the colours and crests of their favourite teams. And it’s much better if a famous person endorses the clothing line.

NFL To Launch Apparel Line With Drake’s OVO

One of the most popular musicians of the past ten years, Drake, has his own clothing line, OVO (October’s Very Own), and in a cooperation with the NFL, he revealed that on Friday, February 3, he will be releasing an entire range of merchandise that is inspired by the teams in the league.

OVO launched its new collection on social media, and several of the designs include rapper Lil Wayne as a model, which is sure to draw in fans.

Wayne is seen donning, of course, Green Bay Packers models in some of the pictures uploaded to OVO’s Instagram account.

Fans react to the clothing line

After the news broke, fans and the NFL world were quick to react. Ben Axelrod, the digital editor of WKYC and Cleveland Browns fan, commented, “You’re probably wondering ‘who is this for,’ and I’m sorry to inform you that the answer is me.”

Another editor, Greg Williams of Game On Wisconsin, wrote, “This is either going to be a complete flameout or complete garbage.”

“Copped,” said another fan who hopes the collection looks good. “Oh that’s fire, the NFL is finally upgrading their apparel. I needed that jacket yesterday,” one more added.

Limited edition T-shirts will be part of the NFL and OVO collaboration in addition to sweatshirts and jackets. Starting on Friday, February 3, customers may purchase the collection via OVO locations, NFLShop.com, and octobersveryown.com.
