The Giants have nowhere to go but up as they enter the 2022 season, and they’ve already had a strong start even before they’ve been on the field. New York Giants had a 4-13 record in 2021 but won the NFL draft in March. For many Giants, especially quarterback Daniel Jones, the 2022 NFL season is pivotal.

Jones, the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft had his fifth-year option rejected in April, making the 2022 season crucial for the quarterback. With the retirement of general manager Dave Gettleman and the firing of coach Joe Judge after only two seasons, the club underwent a purge this summer.

Brian Daboll, a former offensive coordinator for the Bills, has been chosen to lead the Giants. Even while it won’t happen right away, New York should see progress in the 2022 season. Here are the opponents they will face in the next campaign, hoping that the timetable works out well.

The Giants’ sole prime-time game this season is a Monday night contest against the Cowboys on Sept. 26; this is the fewest since 2004. It’s a noticeable decrease from the typical three to five prime-time games they used to play in prior years.

The Titans, Cowboys, Eagles, and Packers are the only four teams the Giants face in 2022 that participated in the NFL playoffs. The Giants are likely the greatest uncertainty heading into the 2022 season, but thanks to a lighter schedule, a new scheme, and a new offensive coordinator in Brian Daboll, they have a good chance of shocking many opponents.

They won’t fight for a postseason place or the NFC East championship in 2022. But compared to 2021, the first season under new head coach Brian Daboll ought to bring about change, offensive improvements, and a few more victories. We predict them to finish the season with a 9-9 record.
