Minnesota Vikings complete biggest NFL comeback in history to stun Indianapolis Colts

The Minnesota Vikings made NFL history on Saturday night. Kevin O’Connell’s side rallied from a 33-point deficit against the Indianapolis Colts to come away with a 39-36 victory in overtime. Kirk Cousins threw for four second-half touchdowns to help the Vikings over the line in Week 15 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

However, after falling behind 33-0 at halftime, Minnesota made history by completing a stunning comeback to grab the win. The previous biggest comeback in NFL history was the Buffalo Bills’ 32-point rally to defeat the Houston Oilers, 41-38, in the 1992 Wild Card round. However, the Vikings now hold the honors for the biggest comeback in the league.

With the victory, the Vikings also clinched the NFC North division as they racked up their 11th win in 14 games this regular season. This means that they have booked their place in the playoffs as well. It was the first time that the Vikings won their divisional title since 2017.

Minnesota Vikings remaining regular season games in the 2022-23 NFL season

The Vikings will now face the New York Giants in Week 16 of the season, on Christmas Eve. They will then lock horns with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Week 17 on January 2nd, 2023. Their final regular season game will come against the Chicago Bears in Week 18.

Although Minnesota has won their division and booked their postseason berth, they will be hoping to continue with their good run of form in their last 3 regular season matchups. It would be a great confidence boost to enter the playoffs with a stronger record.
