Miami Dolphins’ Chase Edmonds RB: NFL Fantasy Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

After four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, Chase Edmonds entered the 2022 season as a free agent. He was one of the first running backs to sign in free agency which shows exactly how high the front office at the Hard Rock Stadium rate him. However, he will have his work cut out for him as he will be competing for the RB spot with the likes of Raheem Mostert and Sony Michel.

Injuries have been a concern for Edmonds as he missed seven games last season due to injury. Having to share his workload with two other RBs should ease the pressure on Edmonds. He should be considered a flex or borderline no 2 running back, it would be wise not to draft him before the sixth round, at the very least.

Chase Edmonds’ fantasy data

Bye Week: 11

Fantasy PPR Ranking: 83.5

Fantasy Points: 169.48

Due to reliability concerns, it is hard to imagine Edmonds as a true three-down back. However, given his explosiveness and his receiving abilities, he is a viable fantasy option. Edmonds showed flashes of brilliance last season but they were few and between to consider him a top RB option for the fantasy team. His best fantasy performance of last season was in Week 16 — without Conner in the lineup — when he rushed for one touchdown and caught eight of his nine targets for 71 yards, racking up 26.7 fantasy points in PPR leagues.

Last season when it came to rushing statistics, Edmonds ran the ball 116 times for a career-high 592 yards, averaging 5.1 yards per attempt. He found the end zone twice and only notched one fumble. Edmonds signed a two-year $12.6 million contract with the Miami Dolphins and will be aiming to cement his place as the RB1 this season.
