Majority of Teams Don’t Want Kyrie Irving at Their Helm Next Season, Despite Rumors Suggesting Otherwise

Kyrie Irving, the point guard for the Brooklyn Nets, hasn’t decided if he’ll stay put this offseason, but according to reports, he already has a lengthy list of clubs he’d be interested in playing for if he were to leave Brooklyn. Irving would like the Nets to seek sign-and-trade deals with many clubs, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and New York Knicks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The decision regarding Irving’s $36.5 million player option for the 2022–23 season must be made by June 29.

Kyrie is accustomed to being in the limelight for being outspoken and standing by his opinions regardless of what other people think, which occasionally causes him to make the most absurd claims like his “flat-earth” notion. Recently, he has been the target of criticism for his cruel attitude toward his teammates from a number of NBA commentators and former players.

Unfortunately, none of those teams have the salary room to make an open offer to Kyrie. According to the most recent information from Woj, it appears that even if Kyrie could prefer these clubs; the sentiment isn’t precisely reciprocal. You would anticipate clubs to put everything they had into trying to get a guy like Kyrie if he were to seek a trade and maybe enter the open market. However, Woj claims that none of these teams are interested in working with him.

Nobody contests the fact that the Knicks would prefer to invest in Jalen Brunson in the current climate. Kyrie doesn’t seem to be of interest to teams like the Sixers or Clippers, who are still struggling and in need of all the support, they can get.
