With five games scheduled in prime time in 2022, the Los Angeles Rams’ route to a Super Bowl repeat is not only difficult, long, and difficult, but it also comes with more scrutiny: On Thursday Night Football on NBC, Buffalo—another club that is an early favorite to win the championship—will be the opponent in Week 1. On ESPN’s Monday Night Football, Week 4 in San Francisco will be featured. Eight of the teams the Rams will play in 2022 made the playoffs, with four of those teams—the Bills, Buccaneers, Chiefs, and 49ers—advancing at least to the divisional round. The Rams will have to play through an insanely challenging stretch of games if they want to win the Super Bowl again.
The schedule is nevertheless overwhelming. For their games against some of the finest players in the NFL, the Rams will need to go out to a quick start and generate momentum. We predict the Rams to finish the season 13-4.
