Khabib Nurmagomedov, popularly known as The Eagle, is a former UFC Lightweight Champion from Russia who competed professionally in mixed martial arts (MMA). Former two-time Combat Sambo World Champion Nurmagomedov debuted in professional MMA in 2008 and joined the UFC in 2012.

Khabib now holds the record for the longest streak in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) with a 29-0 overall record. Having held the championship since April 2018, he is also the UFC Lightweight Champion with the longest reign.

For successfully defending his UFC Lightweight Championship against Conor McGregor at UFC 229, Khabib Nurmagomedov received a basic pay of $2 million. The fighter’s PPV or sponsor incentives are not included in this sum, though. It is therefore reasonable to claim that Nurmagomedov earned significantly more money for facing McGregor. Khabib reportedly made over $16.5 million in the 2019–20 fiscal year, according to Forbes.

For his performance against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, Khabib received a payday of more than $6 million. In 2019, Khabib revealed that he served as the SalamPay brand ambassador. In addition, he receives sponsorship from well-known brands like Toyota, Reebok, and Gorilla Energy.
