Is Showing Fake Covid Report a New Trend? Camila Giorgi Showed One.
Camila Giorgi, an Italian tennis player, is charged with using a forged COVID vaccination certificate. Giorgi has more than 400 victories on the road and three singles championships to her credit. In a recent interview with the Italian media, one of her doctors asserted that Giorgi and family members had been given a fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination certificate. The doctor, Daniela Grillone, was detained in 2022 on charges that she gave influential Italians fraudulent COVID shots and issued certifications.

Giorgi is under investigation for submitting phony COVID-19 Vaccination certificates, according to an article published a few of weeks ago in the Italian publication la Repubblica. She took the action since most nations now require players to present Vaccination documentation in order to compete in competitions, so she could play in tournaments throughout the world.

In the most recent developments in the case, Dr. Grillone, who has admitted to her wrongdoing, said that she was Giorgis’ primary care physician and that none of her patients had had a coronavirus vaccination. She made this statement to another Italian newspaper, Corriere del Veneto. She claimed that the gamer who was rated 66 had previously approached her with a request for a bogus COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

Grillone said:-
“The Giorgi family has been under treatment with me for a long time. Camila Giorgi suffered from the so-called tennis elbow. Shortly before the beginning of summer, she had come asking for the possibility of obtaining false attestations of all the mandatory vaccines, as well as the Covid vaccine. I can confirm with absolute certainty that none of the vaccines against the Giorgi family have actually been administered. I have not received any payment in that case”

A WTA spokesperson said in the Interview:-
“We are aware of the allegations and are currently monitoring the situation and any investigations that may be brought forward”

Camila started her 2023 campaign at the Adelaide International 2 on Saturday, losing in the qualifiers. This year’s Covid rules in Australia have been loosened. She will, nevertheless, be a main-draw participant in the Melbourne Park Grand Slam the following week.
Due to privacy laws, a representative for the Australian Department of Home Affairs declined to clarify whether authorities were looking into Giorgi’s case to maintain their privacy.
