Is Patrick Mahomes playing tonight? Update on Kansas City Chiefs QB ahead of Week 5 clash vs Raiders

Week 5 of the 2022-23 NFL season will see the Kansas City Chiefs will lock horns with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Monday Night Football game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium with kickoff at 8:20 PM ET. But is Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes playing against the Raiders?

Is Patrick Mahomes playing tonight vs the Raiders?

Barring any late injury or setback, Mahomes is set to start at quarterback for the Chiefs against the Raiders on Monday night. The four-time Pro Bowler had been suffering from a wrist injury last month but seems to have healed completely. However, Mahomes’ injury woes are behind him and he will play in Week 5. The quarterback also looked in good spirits during the Chiefs’ training sessions last week.

Mahomes is vital for the Chiefs and has guided them to three wins and one defeat this season as Andy Reid’s side is sitting comfortably at the top of the AFC West table. The 27-year-old has already put up a whopping 1,106 passing yards and 11 touchdowns with a passer rating of 108.4 this campaign.

In Week 4, Mahomes took down Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a shock Week 3 defeat against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Raiders have lost three games this season but recorded their first win of the season last weekend when they overcame the Denver Broncos. However, they face a much bigger challenge in Week 5 when they come up against a strong Chiefs defense.

In what promises to be a mouthwatering contest in Week 5, we await to see who comes out on top on Monday night. Will it be the soaring Chiefs or the under-fire Raiders?
