“He’s Been Known for That, Going Back to College”- Josh Allen Shares His Thoughts on Christian Wilkins Crotch Grab Incident

The Buffalo Bills entered the 2021 season as the favorites to win the Super Bowl. While many doubted if they would actually be able to do it, their performances in the first two weeks of the new NFL season has just proven to everyone why they are the favorites. Josh Allen is in the form of his life so far and so are his teammates around him.

The Bills looked flawless up until the third week of the NFL season when they came up against the Miami Dolphins. Allen and his men succumbed to a 21-19 loss against a Tua Tagovailoa-led offense. During that game, an incident occurred that caught Allen out by surprise.

During one of the plays in the game, Allen got up out of the scuffle and got physical with Dolphins DT Christian Wilkins. While it is not exactly clear what happened under the pile on Sunday, reports suggest that Wilkins grabbed Allen by the groin which irked the Bills’ main man.

In a recent podcast, Allen shared his thoughts on the incident. He said, “I think anybody with two eyes can understand what was going on under that pile. Obviously, I let emotions get the best of me, but there were some things that I didn’t appreciate down there that was going on. We’ll let everyone make their own judgments for that. He’s been known for that, going back to college. I should know that and shouldn’t let it get the best of me.”

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills take on the Baltimore Ravens next

In the interview, Allen admitted that he would most likely get a fine for the incident. However, that will not really hurt him since he is on a contract worth well over $250 million.

Allen and his team will be hoping that the game against the Bills was a one-off. And will be looking to bounce back with a win over the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday. It will be easier said than done given the Ravens and Lamar Jackson in particular are looking pretty good at the moment.
