Here’s Why Kevin Durant Left Golden State Warriors and It is Not About Money

On Wednesday night, the Brooklyn Nets humiliated the Golden State Warriors 143-113. Stephen Curry missed this game because he is still recovering from a shoulder injury that will keep him out for a few weeks. Curry is a previous back-to-back MVP. There is no doubt that Steph’s absence was a significant factor in the Dubs’ lopsided loss against the Nets. Kevin Durant, who is still a star player for the Brooklyn Nets and helped the Golden State Warriors win two championships between 2016 and 2019, was surely a crucial component.

NBA superstars Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry met in New York City on Sunday after winning two NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors in 2016 and 2017.

Kevin Durant talks Warriors

“It was another pivot. I just wanted to play ball somewhere else. But a lot of people see it as me chasing something,” Kevin Durant said.

Durant requested to be moved last summer, and in recent days, there have been further rumors that he would join the Warriors again. That’s because, before Wednesday’s game between Brooklyn and Golden State, he had supper with Dubs star Stephen Curry. He continued by saying that he wished to give himself an opportunity to be his best self someplace else.

“I don’t give a f*** about that. I want to get up every day and do what I do. If we win, I know those things come with me being the best I can be.”

Even though Kevin Durant is one of the NBA’s most powerful players and is in contention for MVP this year, the Nets star has managed to become involved in a few other sports and entertainment projects.
