‘Had Him Play With Last Game”: Gordon Hayward’s Wife Blames Michael Jordan’s Hornets ‘Not Protecting’ Players
At this point, Gordon Hayward suffering a serious injury is hardly a surprise scenario, but his wife suing the Charlotte Hornets for allegedly neglecting his health may raise some questions. The Hornets forward’s day started when they informed him that he would not be able to play against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday due to what they described as a shoulder injury. He missed eight games earlier this month due to an apparently similar ailment, but he has since returned and participated in three games.
The Hornets player Gordon Hayward will be out indefinitely with a left shoulder fracture, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic on Friday night. Hayward’s wife, Robin, concurs. The Hornets, though, did not frame it that way.

Robin claims that her spouse was forced to miss their most recent game due to a “fractured scapula.”
“He actually has a fractured scapula… that they had him play with last game… that’s why he couldn’t move his arm up in the last game,” she wrote.
She later added: “I’m gonna stop here and not get into prior things” before continuing on a subsequent story. I’m over them not protecting players. Just was talking with a young player’s mom, and she was saying the same thing.”

Due to the problem, Gordon Hayward has subsequently been permanently eliminated. As the Hornets determine the best course of action for his care, he will need to undergo more testing. Robyn, though, couldn’t help but blame the Charlotte team for mistreating its players. The Hornets have not yet addressed Robin Hayward’s assertion, but this information is certain to make waves in the NBA and NBPA.
