Every team must have 53 players left on their roster as of 4 p.m. ET. These 53-man rosters are “initial,” so there will be some adjustments made throughout the league over the next day or so. Naturally, this means that the Dallas Cowboys roster situation will vary somewhat. We kept track of every roster reduction the Dallas Cowboys roster made before the deadline, and after using the elimination method, we now have 53 names to consider. This seems to be the original 53-man roster for the Dallas Cowboys, as, the team officially announced this. The team didn’t “cut” Brett Maher and Jake McQuaide without having to worry about waivers, thus this is certainly intentional. There are temporary substitutions are made to allow the Cowboys to add players who require certain injury designations on the roster. According to reports, quarterback Cooper Rush is similarly accurate. James Washington and Tyron Smith will probably both be put on injured reserve, freeing up two spaces on the roster. The Cowboys do, though, need a third, and it isn’t immediately clear where they might get one. But only time shall tell.
