Five Things You Did Not Know About Los Angeles Lakers’ Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis was the first overall pick in the 2012 draft. Davis was picked up by the New Orleans Pelicans and spent seven seasons there and slowly established himself as one of the best players in the league. After his stint with the Pelicans, Davis was traded to the Lakers, where he plays alongside the likes of LeBron James and Russell Westbrook among others, and also won his first NBA championship in 2020.

Davis is a fan favorite in LA and while his on-the-court exploits are very well documented, we take a look at a few things that fans might not know about Anthony Davis.

Late bloomer

As a sophomore in high school, Anthony Davis was an under-the-radar, 6-foot-2 guard. Then in his senior year, things changed drastically for Davis, who shot up to a mind-boggling 6-foot-10. He switched over to forward and signed to play for Coach Cal at Kentucky, and then the rest, as they say, is history.

Big game player

Davis is known to perform best when the spotlight is the brightest. AD holds the record for most points scored in an NBA All-Star Game with 52 in 2017. He put on a show on his home court in NOLA and was named MVP of the game at only 23 years old.

Unibrow

Anthony Davis is known famously for his unibrow, while many would have shied away from it, Davis embraced it and even went on to trademark “Fear The Brow” even before he was drafted into the NBA

He has his own chips
