Ex- MLB Pitcher Scott Erickson Made Threats To Eye Witness Of His “Hit & Run” Accident

Scott Erickson, a former pitcher for the Minnesota Twins, was first charged with misdemeanour careless driving following a collision in 2020 that claimed the lives of two young siblings in Southern California. After Erickson made a public service broadcast stressing the need to drive safely, the case was eventually withdrawn.

According to the most recent evidence from Grossman’s daughter Alexis, Erickson could have been lurking close by while Los Angeles Sheriff’s investigators were questioning Rebecca Grossman the night of the tragic accident.

Sometime after the fatal event, Alexis Grossman informed the jury that Erickson smelled strongly of alcohol when he arrived at the family’s house. She added that Erickson had threatened to disclose to the authorities the specifics of what she had seen. “Don’t tell anyone you saw me, or I will ruin you and your family,” Alexis said Erickson told her.

As police questioned Alexis Grossman, 19, in court, she claimed to have seen Scott Erickson hiding in the shadows following the fatal street race between the former lovers that ended in the deaths of Mark Iskander, 11, and Jacob Iskander, 8, on September 29, 2020.

Then she remembered Erickson storming into the family home shortly after the tragedy and angrily confronting her.

“Why did your mom stop? Why did your mom stop?” In a hearing on Friday, Grossman asserted, as reported by the LA Times. “He seemed very angry. He was frantic. I could smell alcohol on him. He was freaking out. I was scared.”

During his panic-stricken rage, Erickson allegedly told the teen, “Don’t tell anyone you saw me, or I will ruin you and your family.”

Grossman told the jury that she had been out to meet a pizza delivery when she saw the police cars and her mother’s white Mercedes and quickly ran to her side.

“I ran out toward her. I was screaming, ‘Mommy, mommy,” Grossman added but was stopped from getting to the 60-year-old by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy.

Two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, and one act of hit-and-run driving that results in death are the charges brought against Rebecca Grossman. The defense contends that when the two boys were at a crosswalk on Triunfo Canyon Road, Erickson, not Grossman, struck them first.

Erickson and his agents have persistently refuted any misconduct on the part of the former Major League Baseball player.

Her attorneys claimed that Erickson’s black Mercedes SUV, not Grossman’s white Mercedes, was the vehicle that first struck the boys, utilizing Alexis Grossman’s testimony to support their case.

Before Grossman followed Erickson as they swooped past the crosswalk on Triunfo Canyon Road at Saddle Mountain Drive, where Nancy Iskander was crossing with her three boys, the two are said to have had alcohol at a local restaurant.

The publication said that the socialite’s post-crash breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.076%.

It is thought that Grossman and Erickson were operating different cars at the time of the collision, with one probably behind the other. Which car was leading and which was following is still unknown.

The prosecution claims that immediately after the two had alcoholic drinks at a restaurant, Grossman was driving behind Erickson. Nonetheless, the defense has insisted that Erickson’s car was the first to arrive at the victims’ location.
