Dressed to impress, Caitlin Clark wows in a red ensemble while receiving the Wooden Award

After three incredible years, Caitlin Clark will be saying goodbye to the Iowa Hawkeyes with mixed emotions, but first and foremost, she was honored to receive another award for her hard work.

Following her appearance on Sunday in the Hawkeyes’ loss to South Carolina—a team that finished the season undefeated—the 22-year-old has played her final game for the program.

Clark, who is well-known for keeping an unprocessed appearance when performing, celebrated by accepting the award in style by dressing up in a stunning red gown. As she smiled for the cameras, she accessorized her appearance with a classy pair of white toe-point heels.

Due to her significant influence on the court, Iowa has already declared that they would retire her No. 22 uniform. Now that she has won the Women’s Wooden Award three times, she joins an elite group of players and exits as the most prolific scorer in college basketball history.

Reclaiming it for the second time puts her in the distinguished company of Candace Parker (Tennessee), Maya Moore (Connecticut), Brittney Griner (Baylor), Breanna Stewart (Connecticut), Sabrina Ionescu (Oregon), and Seimone Augustus (LSU).

Though Clark is currently one of the favorites for WNBA MVP chances, all six of those players got first overall in the WNBA draft, which is also what is expected of her in 2024.

Pictures from the Hawkeyes account surfaced on social media, featuring the gifted basketball player interacting with other celebrities, including Jason Sudeikis, the actor who plays Ted Lasso in the hit television show. Clark received her own AFC Richmond jersey, which had her number and name on the rear.

Caitlin Clark is a source of motivation.

In addition to holding the D-I all-time scoring record, the single-season scoring record, and the single-season 3-pointers record, the three-time unanimous first-team All-American is the first player in Division I history to record 3,800 points, 1,000 assists, and 950 rebounds.

She improved on her Wooden Award-winning performance from the previous season by going above and above this year, leading the nation in assists (8.9), 3-pointers (5.2), points per game (31.6), field goal percentage (37.8%), and rebounding (7.4).

It is well known that Clark’s efforts have caused media coverage of NCAA women’s basketball to spike, drawing in record numbers of viewers for March Madness.
