Draymond Green Indirectly Taunts Rudy Gobert After His Scuffle With Kyle Anderson

Draymond Green has a reputation for criticising rival players during his career. He used a weekend altercation as an excuse to avenge another Western Conference All-Star.

Draymond Green Taunts Rudy Gobert After His Scuffle With Kyle Anderson Gets On Captured On Camera

The NBA completed its last regular-season games on Sunday. Normally, these games don’t matter much because the players are resting for the playoffs, but this year was different.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are the subject of by far the most significant storyline surrounding the regular-season finale. After getting into a fight with teammate Kyle Anderson in the middle of the game, they sent Rudy Gobert home. During the timeout huddle, there was an argument between the two, which resulted in Gobert punching someone.

Shortly after the incident, Green put out a tweet that appeared to be directed at Gobert; it was a retweet of a message the Minnesota big man had written months before after Green and Jordan Poole got into a physical altercation during practise. At the time, Gobert tweeted a mysterious message that, while not making a clear reference to the Green-Poole brawl, seemed to imply it.

Draymond Green made a really deliberate shot. In retaliation for Rudy Gobert’s hypocrisy after their physical incident with Kyle Anderson, he was being petty.

One of the greatest NBA topics throughout training camp included the Golden State Warriors. Green and teammate Jordan Poole got into an altercation as things heated up during practise. Green punched Poole in the face as this came to a close, and the unpleasant video that followed was shared on social media.

The Minnesota Timberwolves big player was one of several who spoke out as the news spread across the league. Green basically copied Gobert’s tweet from the day following his altercation with Poole.

This year, Green and Poole were able to put their disagreements aside and resolve their issues. When Gobert returns, only time will tell if the T-Wolves will experience the same outcome.

Shortly after being kicked out of Sunday’s game, Gobert posted an apology on social media. He acknowledged that he was overcome by emotion, and he said he respected Kyle Anderson as a colleague.

“Emotions got the best of me today. I should not have reacted the way i did regardless of what was said. I wanna apologize to the fans, the organisation and particularly to Kyle, who is someone that i truly love and respect as a teammate.”
