Israel Adesanya recounts UFC 234 fight against Anderson Silva

Adesanya was landing some significant blows on Silva, and the aging Brazilian veteran was certainly sharp in his own right. In a recent interview, Israel Adesanya admitted that Anderson Silva hurt him so badly at one point in that fight that he ended up seeing three Silva’s standing in front of him.

Israel Adesanya had to compose himself and kept reminding his inner consciousness that he couldn’t be finished by ‘The Spider’ on the biggest stage.

“He got me there and then boom. I saw three Silvas there. He knew I was hurt and he was trying to finish the fight. I was like ‘Okay I need to maintain the distance.
