DO NOT Draft RB Miles Sanders In Your 2023 Fantasy Leagues. Heres Why:

This offseason RB Miles Sanders left the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent and signed with the Carolina Panthers. With his transition, we can expect plenty of changes to his game and this is what it might mean to your fantasy team if you make the mistake of drafting him.

In 2022, Miles Sanders rushed for 1200+ yards, the 5th most in the league, if you are just purely looking at his stats you would be wondering why would the Eagles not resign one of the best running backs in the NFL, but he isn’t one of the best in the league. I think this year more than ever has proved more than ever how replaceable running backs are, but Miles Sanders position in Philadelphia was definitely the most replaceable of any back in the league.

The Eagles have by far the best offensive line in the NFL, any running back in that system would rush for 1000+ because of how dominant that line his. D’Andre Swift is the lead back for the Eagles now and I am sure he will have a career year in 2023, it won’t be because of how dynamic swift is, it will be cause of how relentless the Eagles O-Line is . But transitioning from one of the best lines in the league to one like that Panthers, we cannot expect to see the same production from Sanders in 2023. Miles Sanders isn’t a bad running back, but he isn’t the top 5 caliber player his stats say he is.

Sanders is currently the RB20 and is being taken at 66th overall, but if he is an RB how is this not good value?

its simple, look at the guys that are being drafted below Sanders, Dameon Pierce is one of them, he is one of my favorite candidates to break out during the 2023 NFL season. He has a brand new offensive line, one of the hardest guys in the NFL to bring down and will hopefully be able to stay healthy for the entire season unlike last year. I would much rather grab someone like QB Trevor Lawerence at 66th overall and then take Pierce at 78 overall to be my RB3 or possibly my RB2.
There are plenty of options out there for later round running backs, but Miles Sanders shouldn’t be one of your options, in my opinion he is due for a major regression in 2023 with the Panthers.
