Deshaun Watson’s Attorney Files A Counter Suit Claiming Sexual Misconduct Allegation To Be “Sham”

Deshaun Watson’s legal team has provided more information regarding the sexual misconduct claim that has been made against him. The lawsuit was brought on October 13 against the Cleveland Browns quarterback and claimed that in December 2020, at a Houston hotel, Watson coerced a lady into engaging in oral sex. According to his team, the accusation is untrue and is being brought forth as a result of unrequited love.

Deshaun Watson’s Attorney Files A Counter Suit Alongside Attaches Evidence

Deshaun Watson’s attorney has responded to the most recent lawsuit brought against his client by submitting a number of materials in court that appear to refute the allegations made in the case, including that Watson coerced the plaintiff into oral sex at a Houston hotel in December 2020.

The plaintiff’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, is also asking the Harris County, Texas, court to impose financial penalties on them for filing this “sham lawsuit,” as he calls it. This was the 26th lawsuit filed by a woman who accused Watson of engaging in sexual misconduct while giving massages.

It has already been aggressively defended against by Hardin. In one document, Watson’s legal team provided screen pictures of texts the lady sent to him after she alleged that he had forced her into oral sex during their massage at the Houstonian Hotel.

After their massage session, “the documents (the woman) provided demonstrate that (the woman) sent more than 35 messages to Deshaun Watson, none of which were responded to by Mr Watson,” claims Hardin.

He submitted a document Monday night that stated, “This definitely does not sound like a person who was pushed into performing oral sex.”

After first filing the case under the alias Jane Doe, Hardin already obtained a court order requiring the lady to disclose her name in court filings. According to him, the women’s counsel brought this action undercover in order to put Watson under pressure to “settle quickly.” After 23 other plaintiffs struck confidential settlements with Deshaun Watson to resolve their cases against him this year, this is the sole lawsuit still pending.

Likewise, according to Hardin’s complaint, “NFL investigators were fully aware of (the woman’s) allegations and opted not to base their findings on any of her unfounded contentions.”

According to the filing, Hardin is asking the court to fine Watson’s attorneys $5,000, which is less than one-third of the overall fees and costs Watson was required to pay.

This is the 26th case filed against Deshaun Watson over sexual misconduct.
