Deestroying Who Was Once Denied Football Scholarship Is Now Making Much More Money Via Youtube

Although YouTube views might be worth a lot of money, if you’re a student athlete you might want to consider twice before trying to make money on the site. Due to his YouTube channel, a football player for the University of Central Florida in 2017 lost his spot on the squad and subsequently his scholarship.

UCF kicker Donald De La Haye is the owner of “Deestroying,” which at the time had over 90,000 subscribers and 5 million views.

The fact that he had videos about sports on a monetized account—rather than the channel itself—is what lost him his scholarship.

His recordings were viewed by the NCAA as a clear breach of its policy prohibiting student athletes from utilizing their position to obtain financial gain. De La Haye sends his YouTube earnings to his family in Costa Rica, so UCF’s sports administration negotiated with the group on his behalf.

He has two options, according to the association: he either keep the account monetized or remove the videos where he mentions being a student-athlete. Or, he must completely stop monetising his account. De La Haye has been found ineligible since he declined both options.

Deestroying Making A Comeback?

The 26-year-old YouTuber said he was returning to the field to practice kicking for the first time in a while in a 30-minute video titled “My First Day Training For The NFL.”

The YouTube celebrity stated that he has started preparing to restart his profession as a kicker since he plans to play football again in 2024.

In the video, Deestroying demonstrated that he still possessed the power and precision that made him a valuable member of the Central Florida Knights by making 10 consecutive kicks from 50 yards or beyond before his first miss. Deestroying performed 10 pushups for each kick that did not split the uprights and 25 pushups for each kick that he missed.

The video of the kicker-turned-internet-hit has received over 800,000 views on YouTube in only one day.

What is Deestroying’s net worth?

Deestroying’s net worth is reportedly $5.59 million.

Although Deestroying’s exact net worth is unknown, our website extrapolates a figure of $5.59 million based on YouTube statistics.

However, Net Spot Worth’s calculation only takes into account one revenue source. It’s possible that Deestroying has a bigger net worth than $5.59 million. Given these extra revenue streams, Deestroying may be valued more in the lines of $7.82 million.
