Denver Broncos’ Javonte Williams RB: NFL Fantasy Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

Javonte Williams of the Denver Broncos had to split carries with veteran Melvin Gordon last season, but he still had a strong rookie year. The North Carolina product narrowly missed out on a 1,000-yard season but is expected to play a key part in the Broncos offence going forward.
He and Gordon will once more split the spotlight in the backfield going into this season.

Williams’ potential was evident when he was a rookie, particularly in the one game Gordon missed in Week 13 against Kansas City. Williams had nine targets, six receptions for 76 yards, and a score on 23 carries for 102 yards and 29 PPR points in that contest.

Bye Week: 9

Fantasy PPR Ranking: 19.4

Fantasy Points: 228.04

In his first year with the Broncos, Williams accumulated 1,219 total yards, seven touchdowns, and 43 catches. He finished 17th among running back scorers in PPR leagues (206.30 points). He performed at his best from weeks 12 to 14. He accumulated 372 total yards, four touchdowns, and ten catches throughout that period.

Williams radiates a winning energy, and many believe he will keep doing the dirty work in the Broncos’ rushing assault. He can punch through gaps, run through walls, and bounce off tackles while running.

Williams completes carries while frequently successfully pushing the chains by using his power and ferocity. He usually waits for a gap in the D-line to open, and when he does, he easily rushes through. As soon as he notices daylight, Williams’ acceleration pulls him into the defensive secondary.
