Damien Harris headlines list of NFL Fantasy Football RB sleepers

With the NFL season coming up in just a few weeks, Fantasy Football takes the center stage during August as league drafts are getting closer and every Fantasy Football owner is getting ready to roll within their leagues. In the 2021 season, the Fantasy Football RB group is as deep as it gets. Let us check and analysis RB sleepers

Even though there was a lack of first-round running back picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, there’s still plenty of young talent to choose from during the first rounds. However, as the late rounds approach, there’s also a ton of great value to be found with the RB sleepers, especially for those leagues that use the Points Per Reception (PPR) system.

On that note, check out some RB sleepers that can make the difference for you in your fantasy leagues:

Damien Harris, New England Patriots: It looks like Harris has locked up the RB1 spot with the Patriots and he’s set to become a star this year. In 2020, he amassed 743 yards from scrimmage and only 2 touchdowns. Although those numbers seem to be low, the Patriots’ running back only played in 10 games, and this year he’s been highlighted by Bill Belichick as a star player who’s going to be crucial for the offense.

Even though Sony Michel is a first-round pick, he just isn’t good enough to compete with Harris for the starting job. With his low numbers last season, he may fall out of the first six to eight rounds, but he would be of incredible value as a mid-round or late-round pick in your league’s draft. His consensus ADP is #76

Boston Scott, Philadelphia Eagles: Just like Harris will be regarding Sony Michel’s presence on the roster, Scott’s value will be low when the season start, but look for his numbers to improve as the year goes on.

Inside the Eagles organization, there’s a lot of concern regarding Miles Sanders’ abilities regarding ball security, as he dropped a lot of passes in 2020 and his 4 fumbles were also a huge problem. He’s not been impressive during training camp and, if he keeps struggling, Scott will take over RB1 duties, especially as he’s steady and a reliable pass-catcher from the backfield. It’s a worthy RB gamble during the late rounds of the draft.

Michael Carter, New York Jets: Carter was not even the first running back drafted from UNC in 2021, but just like his counterpart Javonte Williams with the Denver Broncos, he will probably take the RB1 spot with the Jets sooner than later. He’s the most talented back in the team and Tevin Coleman’s best days are long gone.

It’s not like Carter will be a superstar for your team, but with rookie Zach Wilson under center, checkdowns and running plays are a good possibility for the Jets’ offense that will struggle to make much of an impact in the AFC East in 2020. He’s really low in some ADP projections, so as a late-round pick he’ll do wonders for your team as a good reserve running back. One of the best RB sleepers there is.

Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys: Even though Ezekiel Elliott is said to be in the best shape of his career, it’s clear he has lost a step following so many touches since he was drafted into the NFL in 2016.

Those are good news for Pollard, whose ADP is 99.1 but his role in the offense should grow as the year goes on. In 2020, it was clear that Pollard was the better back for the Cowboys. In 2021, if Zeke keeps struggling, Pollard will be the perfect RB Sleeper for your team.
