Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions Announce a Star Studded Halftime Performers Lineup for NFL on Thanksgiving

Half-time shows at NFL games have become a status symbol. Every year, for the Super Bowl, the NFL ups the ante by making the half-time show bigger and better. The biggest artists are invited to set the stage on fire in what is an enthralling experience. This tradition is also followed during halftime for games on special occasions such as thanksgiving.

The NFL started hosting thanksgiving games in 1934 after Detroit Lions owner George Richards saw this as a marketing opportunity to get more people to watch games at the stadium. Slowly, it has become one of the most important events on the NFL calendar each year, with record-breaking viewership numbers being set on this day. Now it has become a tradition that the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions play on Thanksgiving every year.

Now that we’re a day away from the big games, both the Lions and the Cowboys have revealed their respective lineups for the half-time show. The Lions announced that award-winning singer, and songwriter, Bebe Rexha will be performing along with legendary DJ David Guetta. The duo will be performing their new single ‘I’m good (Blue)’ among other songs.

Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, went another route, ‘America’s Team’ chose the Jonas Brothers to perform at their half-time show. The Jonas brothers are no strangers to the big stage and performed at the Super Bowl halftime show back in 2008.

This year on thanksgiving, fans will be treated to not one but three games on Thanksgiving. The day starts off with a match between the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions, then the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants and finally the New England Patriots take on the Minnesota Vikings

Last year on Thanksgiving, the game between the Raiders and the Cowboys was the most-watched game of the season. All signs suggest that the Cowboys can achieve the same feat this time around against the Vikings.
