Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Celebrates By Taunts Chargers Fans With LaDainian Tomlinson’s high-step/finger
The Kansas City Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. After falling behind early, the Chiefs went on to lead 13-10 at the half thanks to a touchdown ball from Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce that covered four yards. Given that these two have connected frequently throughout their careers, something special had to occur for a four-yarder to be noteworthy. And so it was.
Travis and Jason Kelce don’t place a lot of weight in what other people think of them, as anyone who has listened to their podcast “New Heights” can attest. They hardly ever need to.
Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Celebrates By Taunts Chargers Fans With LaDainian Tomlinson’s high-step/finger
Travis Kelce demonstrated his lack of concern by imitating LaDainian Tomlinson’s high-step and finger-roll celebration after scoring a touchdown against the Chargers at home on Sunday night.

The message from Kelce was crystal clear: “I’m going to do this and you won’t stop me.” It might not have had the same impact in a massively red SoFi Stadium in Inglewood as it would have in San Diego during Tomlinson’s prime, but it was still a strong statement.

Tomlinson was one of the best running backs in NFL history and the most productive player in Chargers’ history. Over the course of his brilliant career, he carried for 13,864 yards, seventh-most all-time. He finished with the Jets after spending almost all of his career in San Diego.
With Kansas City’s first touchdown of the game in the second quarter, Travis Kelce’s celebration occurred as the Chiefs took a 13-10 lead.

Nasir Adderley, a defensive back for LA, didn’t seem to enjoy the celebration. The finger-rolled ball was punched out of the end zone’s back corner by him.
The celebration is familiar to NFL fans. In their homes, the majority of them most likely completed it themselves.
