Cameras Caught Broncos Jerry Jeudy Getting Mad At NFL Official

Broncos receiver Jerry Jeudy lost his cool early in the Sunday game between Denver and Kansas City and made contact with a referee. Jeudy lost his cool after a route he ran saw a defender trip him as he released from the line of scrimmage as the Broncos trailed the Chiefs 27-0.

Jeudy took off his helmet and became furious about what he believed to be a missed penalty call. He eventually hit an official in the chest while protesting the ruling. He didn’t receive a penalty for the play.

Cameras Caught Jerry Jeudy Getting Mad At NFL Official

Jerry Jeudy and the Denver Broncos have had a difficult season.

The club came close to pulling off a 27-0 comeback against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, but ultimately lost heartbreakingly, 34-28.

He was spotted rushing off the field at the conclusion of the first half after taking off his helmet and lashing out at the referees. The situation became so heated that Jeudy even bumped the referee for refusing to make the decision.

He was upset after being tripped up and falling to the ground as he left the line of scrimmage during a pivotal play that resulted in an incomplete pass for the Broncos with a 27-point deficit. The defender trod on Jeudy’s foot as they released across the field, according to the replay, but the officials either missed the contact or decided it was accidental.

Since unnecessary contact with an official is punishable by an unsportsmanlike penalty or an ejection under NFL rules, critics of Jeudy pointed to the outburst as an action that was deserving of an ejection. Despite the contact, the official did not throw a flag or penalize the Broncos star for his outburst.

Jeudy was somehow overlooked for this, but you can bet he will be fined.
