Bucs QB Tom Brady sets NFL record with 13-point comeback vs New Orleans Saints

Tom Brady may be aging, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is continuing to show his prowess every week. The 45-year-old wrote his name into the history books again after helping the Bucs overturn a 13-point deficit to beat the New Orleans Saints 17-16 in Week 13 of the NFL season.

Brady’s comeback win was the 44th fourth-quarter victory in his career as he broke the record for most comeback wins by a quarterback. The seven-time Super Bowl winner had previously shared the record with Peyton Manning.

The Bucs superstar threw a pair of touchdowns with just three minutes left on the clock and rallied his team past the Saints. The win kept Tampa Bay at the summit of the NFC South as they improved to 6-6.

Tom Brady enjoys another fantastic outing in the NFL

Brady’s incredible passing range was highlighted again on Sunday as he threw a one-yard touchdown pass to rookie Cade Otton, to make it 16-10 with just three minutes. He then got the ball back with just under two and a half minutes to go, and the game with a six-yard pass to another rookie, Rachaad White.

While speaking to reporters after the game, Brady claimed that he wasn’t too happy with the team trailing until so late in the game but was glad that he was able to get the Bucs out of the mess. He said, “We’ve had a lot of games come down to the end. Some we’ve won, some we’ve lost, which is why we’re 6-6. It’s not where we want to be, but we’ll keep fighting.”

Brady and the Bucs will now face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 of the season. This game promises to be an intriguing one as the Niners are still without a reliable quarterback.
