Boston Celtics President Makes a Cameo in LeBron James Produced Latest Netflix Release ft. Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Luka Doncic
With good cause, critics are raving over Adam Sandler’s latest Netflix thriller ‘Hustle’. Though the film uses tried-and-true tropes from the inspiring rags to riches athletic star genre, it does so in a unique way and with a who’s who of NBA players. Not just NBA players but Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations, Brad Stevens, has also made a cameo in the film.
From youthful Anthony Edwards to the great Dr. J, the film features a wide range of NBA players from the past and present, with some portraying themselves and others showing off their acting chops.
The film follows an NBA recruiter as he uncovers Bo Cruz’s raw potential, a Spanish athlete who will have to work extremely hard to make the NBA Draft.

Brad Stevens may now add “actor” to his list of accomplishments. Stevens appears in a segment as himself, scouting NBA player Juancho Hernangomez’s character, a Spanish draft candidate. Ironically, Hernangomez was a Celtic in real life before Stevens sent him away.
Stevens turns to Sandler and says: “Looks like a guy that could impact winning at our level. We need to get him up to Boston.”

According to Sandler, via The Hollywood Reporter, LeBron James was instrumental in getting certain appearances in the film. Sugerman works for the Philadelphia 76ers in the film, so it’s not strange to see some current players from the team. There are, however, a slew of other celebrities.
The 76ers’ guard Matisse Thybulle, forward Tobias Harris, and guard Tyrese Maxey, as well as head coach Glenn Anton “Doc” Rivers, make cameo appearances in the film. Julius Erving, Allen Iverson, and Charles Barkley are among the other former NBA players you may see.
