Bills’ Stefon Diggs Is Struggling & It Was Pretty Much Visible In The Game Against Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills players were naturally upset about their Sunday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but Stefon Diggs showed no inclination to talk about his feelings.

Bills’ Stefon Diggs Is Struggling & It Was Pretty Much Visible In The Game Against Chiefs

With a 27-24 victory against the Bills at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York, the Chiefs moved to their sixth consecutive AFC Championship Game. Diggs avoided speaking with reporters following the game, as he also refrained from doing so after the Bills defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers the previous week.

After a scorching start to the season in which he reached 100 receiving yards in five of his first six games, the former All-Pro appeared to be well on his way to another incredible year. But since then, a lot has happened, and we have more evidence than simply the eye test to support it.

Diggs’ stats were astounding, even during the Bills’ scorching finale to the regular season, which saw them claim the AFC East Championship and the No. 2 spot. According to Ian Hartitz of Fantasy Life, Diggs had less receiving yards in the last ten games of the season while having a lot more targets than teammate Khalil Shakir, a wide receiver.

During the regular season, Diggs had an amazing 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and 8 touchdowns; however, a large portion of his output came early in the game. He did not receive more than 87 yards receiving in any of Buffalo’s last 11 games in the regular season. Diggs’ postseason woes persisted; in two games, he gained 73 receiving yards but failed to find the end zone.

Diggs’ lack of concentration seemed to be a problem at times throughout the previous several months, and it happened against Kansas City once more. The game’s fate could have been affected by the great receiver’s big drop in the fourth quarter.

Diggs’ season rapidly turned into a forgettable one, as seen by Buffalo’s defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round. Diggs was a non-factor and finished with a career-low PFF rating (45.6).

This season, Diggs has dropped six passes. He has also seen a drop percentage of five or higher in each of the last two seasons, compared to only one instance in the previous four years of his career.

It is reasonable to ask if Diggs will return to the Bills for the upcoming campaign. For some time now, the 30-year-old has expressed his open frustration with his lack of output. For a significant portion of the offseason, he was also dissatisfied, but it’s still unknown why. There have been suggestions that Diggs might not think highly of Josh Allen.

Before the 2022 season, Diggs inked a four-year, $104 million contract deal. Although his contract with Buffalo expires in2027, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the two parties decided to separate ways in the upcoming months.

How did Stefon Diggs become famous?

Despite being selected in the late rounds of the draft, Diggs joined the Vikings as a full-time starter halfway through his first campaign. Alongside Adam Thielen, he formed a potent receiving combination. One of his best plays during the 2017–18 NFL playoffs was catching the “Minneapolis Miracle” throw.

Stefon Diggs is a father of one child. His daughter, Nova, is the product of his relationship with Tyler Marie, his former girlfriend.

How many Diggs brothers are there?

Only two Diggs brothers exist, despite the fact that there are three NFL players with the last name Diggs. Trevon and Stefon would be that.
