Aaron Rodgers Slams Dr. Anthony Fauci On McAfee’s Show

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, continued to criticize Dr. Anthony Fauci on Tuesday when discussing his recovery from an Achilles injury he sustained in the first week of the 2023 season.

When discussing his rehabilitation on “The Pat McAfee Show,” former Indianapolis Colts punter Aaron Rodgers said he was throwing against science and seemed to be preparing for a season-long comeback to the game.

During Rodgers’ Tuesday hit, the main topic of discussion was his Achilles recovery and how he was seen over the weekend throwing a few passes and without on crutches. When Rodgers was highlighted by co-host AJ Hawk as doing things “his own way,” McAee joked that the quarterback for the Jets “defies science.”

Rodgers remarked, “If science is Dr. Fauci, you’re damn right I’m defying science,” to which McAfee replied with a grin and an admission that he had set him up for a zinger.

“I believe in the power of intention,” he said. “I believe in the power of your mind and the will – will power. Basically, the entire time, I kind of said this is what I’d like to do – rehab-wise. Got some incredible people to work with not just the Jets.”

According to Rodgers, he asked Dr. Neal Elattrache whether he might “push it.” He said that Cam Akers, the running back for the Minnesota Vikings, underwent the same procedure and was back on the field in around five months. He said that he and J.K. Dobbins, the running back for the Baltimore Ravens, underwent the same procedure at around the same time and that he was curious to learn their prognosis in a few weeks.

For the second time in a short period of time, Rodgers has made fun of Dr. Fauci on McAfee’s program. The 39-year-old stated last week that he would want to debate Dr. Fauci and Travis Kelce over vaccines with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
