Prosecutors To Drop Sexual Assault Charges Against Jackson Mahomes

Jackson Mahomes’ sexual abuse lawsuit has just taken a dramatic turn in court. A few of the allegations against the controversial social media celebrity, which stemmed from an altercation in a restaurant that led to his detention some time ago, may be withdrawn.

Prosecutors To Drop Sexual Assault Charges Against Jackson Mahomes

Prosecutors submitted a request with the DA’s office on Tuesday to drop three felonies related to aggravated sexual assault. With his decision to withdraw, there is now just one misdemeanor battery allegation pending against him out of his four ongoing accusations.

The lady who said that Jackson Mahomes had sexually assaulted her is no longer assisting the prosecution.

The Johnson County Prosecutors Office stated in their motion that “the State is not seeking a continuance to continue to serve when she has made her lack of cooperation abundantly clear.”

In November, the lady declared her desire to refrain from further cooperation and said she “never contacted law enforcement when the alleged acts occurred,” according to an affidavit submitted in the case.

Her lawyers noted in the statement, “I wish the matter to be dismissed as to anything involving me and do not want to cooperate with the State in prosecuting the matter.”

It would not only reduce his remaining charges from four to one, but it would also eliminate the worst of the lot. Patrick Mahomes’ brother would only face misdemeanor charges, which are significantly less serious and have a lesser punishment than felonies.

The brother of a well-known Kansas City Chiefs player was detained in May 2023 and was first accused of three charges of aggravated assault and one count of battery related to occurrences that allegedly occurred at Aspen’s, an Overland Park restaurant that is no longer in operation. Mahomes was seen on camera at the restaurant grabbing a woman and giving her a forceful kiss.

Jackson Mahomes is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday to answer to a misdemeanor violence allegation related to his pushing of a server on that same night in February 2023.
