“Why Am I Shadowbanned?” – LSU Gymnast Olivia Dunne Makes Shock TikTok Claim
Olivia Dunne feels as though there has been a unilateral restriction on her TikTok engagement.
Seeing that her interaction on TikTok was waning, the LSU gymnast—who is also a ubiquitous social media sensation—commented, “Why am I shadow banned?” on one of her own videos.
Her audience statistics are drastically lower now, as OutKick noted, with each of her past four videos failing to reach one million views, which used to be the minimum number of views a post could receive.

It’s unclear if Dunne, 21, was the victim of a more general algorithmic shift or if the social networking site has singled her out for abuse.
There was a controversy earlier this year when Dunne’s TikTok account briefly vanished for no apparent reason and there were other odd activities.
In response to a tweet from someone claiming that the gymnast had removed or unpinned several of her videos, Dunne wrote, “It’s a glitch.” “Idk what’s wrong with my account right now.”

Not too long afterward, the account surfaced again.
Dunne talked candidly to People last month about adjusting to her rapidly rising stardom.
“The past few years, juggling NIL or ever since my sophomore year, since the summer of 2021, I’ve definitely had a hard time finding balance,” Dunne stated in the interview.

“That’s really important because if you don’t have balance, that can affect your mental health. I finally feel like I got a grasp on it this year. It’s just compartmentalizing things mentally is very important in my everyday routine.”
Dunne will be back for the 2024 edition of Sports Illustrated, having made her debut in the swimsuit section earlier this year.
Dunne is seeing Paul Skenes, the pitcher from LSU who the Pirates selected with the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft.
