American professional basketball player Jae Crowder plays for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns. Crowder chose South Georgia Technical College and later Howard College after not receiving much recruiting out of high school. In his sophomore year, Crowder helped the team win the NJCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship. Crowder received the State Farm Junior College Player of the Year honor while attending Howard College.

Later, he changed schools and joined Marquette. During his final year there, he won the Big East Player of the Year award. He qualified for the 2012 NBA draft after his senior year was over, and the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him 34th overall before trading him to the Dallas Mavericks on draft night.

Crowder was acquired by the Boston Celtics in a trade in 2014. Before getting returned to his original draught team, the Cavaliers, in August 2017, he spent three years in Boston. He played for the Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies before being traded to the Utah Jazz in 2018. (with whom he reached his first NBA Finals in 2020). With the Phoenix Suns, he made it to his second NBA Finals in 2021.
