“You’ve Always Been…” – Charles Barkley’s One Word Dig at Shaquille O’Neal Will Leave Fans in Splits
One of the best choices ever made in the history of sports commentary was Shaquille O’Neal’s decision to join the cast of “Inside the NBA.” After hiring Charles Barkley as soon as he left the Rockets in 2000, Turner Sports had already created something really unique with him and the rest of the team. Shaquille O’Neal most definitely didn’t leave a good first impression on Charles Barkley. Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson make up the cast of “Inside the NBA.”
There have been numerous humorous episodes of the show that never fail to make viewers smile. Recently, a different exchange between Barkley, Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal accomplished the trick. Kenny and Barkley made the decision to hilariously mock Shaq by calling him ugly.

Charles Barkley takes a dig at Shaquille O’Neal again
Kenny: “You have always been…”
Barkley: “Ugly.”
Kenny: “That too.”
It was a hilarious conversation, and even O’Neal was unable to contain his laughing due to Chuck’s impeccable timing in telling the joke. However, Barkley has used this strategy against Shaq before. In fact, Charles once said that his initial impression of Shaquille O’Neal upon meeting him in person was that of an unattractive man.
Shaquille O’Neal, like the others, is now accustomed to everything and could only watch in amusement as Barkley’s timing was in fact rather comical. Even after spending so many years working together on the same set, the crew has always seemed like a brotherhood of men who really love one another, which makes jokes like these all the more touching to witness.
