NFL outside linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair plays for the San Francisco 49ers in American football. At Florida Atlantic University, he played college football. Al-Shaair started at linebacker for the Florida Atlantic Owls for four seasons. Al-Shaair was a first-year All-American and a member of the Conference USA All-Freshman team. He was on the Butkus Award watchlist going into his senior year, but his final season was cut short after just six games when he tore his ACL during a practice in October.

On April 27, 2019, the San Francisco 49ers signed undrafted free agent Al-Shaair. In the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Al-Shaair made his NFL debut, playing solely on special teams and contributing two tackles to the 31-17 away victory.
