EXPLAINED: Only Super Bowl Contenders Buffalo Bills Can Stop Themselves From a Championship Win This Season
With a blowout of the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills strengthened their status as Super Bowl candidates and an AFC club to beat. With an 11-6 regular-season record, the Bills qualified for the playoffs as the AFC East winners last year. Before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime in the Divisional Round, Buffalo opened the playoffs with a 47-17 victory against the New England Patriots.
The team led by Patrick Mahomes eliminated the Bills from the playoffs after Allen and company were denied a chance to play in overtime. There is no way to tell how much further the Bills could have advanced in 2021 had Buffalo begun the extra period offensively.

Buffalo Bills for the Super Bowl this season?
The Buffalo Bills are the clear favorite for the Super Bowl, followed by everyone else. The only club that can now prevent Josh Allen and company from taking home the inaugural Lombardi Trophy isn’t the Kansas City Chiefs, who stood in their way last season. Also not the Philadelphia Eagles, who yesterday defeated the Steelers to raise their record to 7-0.

It’s the Buffalo Bills. It was once again evident Sunday night when the Bills played with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers before defeating them 27-17 that they are the only team that can prevent the Bills from winning the Super Bowl.
The Bills’ agony in the best-ever AFC Championship shootout will serve as a great incentive for their talented team to just barely cross the finish line and bring Buffalo its first Lombardi Trophy. The squad is confident that they can withstand any challenge thrown their way by the AFC, and most of its important players are available to battle to the very end.

Their moment has come, which is why they are favorites. The Bills are in the Super Bowl or bust this year because of their exceptional performance. Seriously, for a club that was capable of winning it last year, anything less than a championship should be seen as a poor season.
