Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travis Etienne: NFL Fantasy Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

The 25th choice in the 2021 NFL Draft went to running back Travis Etienne of the Jacksonville Jaguars, reuniting him with former Clemson teammate Trevor Lawrence in Duval County. He was expected to split touches with James Robinson, another promising running back, but in the preseason he had a Lisfranc injury that kept him out for the whole rookie season.

Etienne is back on the field for the Jags at training camp with a healed foot and is eager to contribute to the team. Since he returned to the field this summer, the Jaguars have been raving about Etienne, and he now has the chance to shine in his first season of NFL competition.

The former Clemson star may receive all the touches when the season begins since James Robinson is still recovering from an Achilles ailment. He may eventually become Jacksonville’s starting running back if he performs well there.

The greatest and worst-case circumstances will both be there in Etienne’s season. He will have a few chances to impress and will feel safe knowing that Lawrence, his college quarterback, is watching out for him.

Robinson’s presence, though, cannot be disregarded, despite the fact that he recently suffered an Achilles injury. By the conclusion of the season, both backs will end up sharing carries, which will not satisfy their respective fantasy managers.

Add uncertainty to the Jaguars’ run game beyond Etienne, and the second-year speedster has a tonne of potential. Before the conclusion of Round 5 in PPR formats, someone will always take a risk on him; otherwise, there is obvious value there.
