‘I’ll Fight Your A*s Whatever Weight Class’- UFC Welterweight Action Fighter Sends Aggressive Call-Out to Nate Diaz
UFC welterweight Bryan Barberena took to Twitter and called out top UFC star Nate Diaz who has been angling for a fight in the organization. Barberena is fresh off a win over Robbie Lawler in what was one of the most exciting fights of UFC 276 and he certainly managed to steal the show.
Bryan Barberena weather a massive storm early and was able to find well-timed shots to stop the former welterweight champion on the feet. The referee came in and put an end to his fight against Lawler as ‘Ruthless’ truly proved too tough for his own good.

Nate Diaz is one of the top draws in the UFC today. However, he has been at odds with the company for a meaningful period of time. Diaz has been looking to secure a fight against any active welterweight and fight out the last fight on his existing UFC contract. However, that has yet to come to fruition and it appears as though Bryan Barberena believes he is a suitable candidate for Diaz’s final UFC fight.
I keep hearing @NateDiaz209 bitching about getting a fight. I’ll fight your ass whatever weight class 170 to heavyweight. But I guarantee you come up with some excuse not to take the beating. #squareup

There’s no doubt that Diaz vs Barberena would be an all-out brawl on the feet and it’s certainly a scrap fans would sign up for. However, ‘Bambam’ Barberena is not a marquee draw in the UFC and the organization might pivot down another road for Diaz’s final fight.
Dana said Francis Ngannou was injured and couldn’t fight right now
Idk why he was so confused in interview.
And in the last 9 months I been offered 0 fights and I asked for 5 legitimate opponents ..
Thanks u for the kind words can I go now 👊🏼— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) July 17, 2022

Would be a nice to departure date 🧊— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) July 8, 2022
The expectation is that Nate Diaz will face Conor McGregor to close out their trilogy and this booking would be a box-office slam dunk. However, Stockton’s favorite son has shown no interest in the fight and appears content to keep the UFC on a tight leash.
It’s unclear how long this battle between Nate Diaz and the UFC will play out, but there is certainly no shortage of contenders who are vying for an opportunity to give Diaz one last run for his money in the UFC’s octagon.
