Devin Booker is the NBA 2K23 Cover Athlete
Devin Booker was named the cover athlete for the base edition and deluxe digital of NBA 2K23, a title usually given to players that demonstrate the most ability and skill and honors their performance. While his team’s performance in the playoffs was cut short by the Dallas Mavericks, Booker was outstanding in the regular season. He managed to become a guard on the 2021-2022 season All-NBA First Team, being named with the likes of Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic. Devin Booker will be the first Phoenix Suns player to be named cover athlete and grace the cover of any edition of the game.
Booker is the last athlete to be unveiled, as NBA 2K earlier revealed Michael Jordan, Sue Bird, and Diana Taurasi as the next athletes to be on alternate editions/covers of the game.

According to Booker, he’s been an avid fan of the NBA 2K franchise. He’s claimed to be the best gamer in all of the NBA, a statement supported by his streams that document his gaming ability. He even won the NBA’s 2KTourney, a tournament where various NBA players played against each other on 2K using the preset teams.
Booker said, “It’s a dream to see myself on the cover of NBA 2K,” in an official press release. He found the experience to be surreal as he shared the cover with Michael Jordan, one of the greatest athletes of all time in men’s basketball, and Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi, two of the greatest athletes of all time in women’s basketball.
The NBA 2K series holds a monopoly on the basketball video game industry ever since it ousted its competition the NBA Live series in the late-2000s and early 2010s. It’s bene releasing games for over two decades for the multitude of NBA fans to enjoy. Within a few months of last year’s release, NBA 2K22 had over 8 million units sold, with almost 2 million players daily, solidifying its domination of the basketball video game market.
NBA 2K23 marks the twenty-fourth installment in the games franchise. The game will be released on September 9, 2022, roughly one month before the 2022-2023 NBA season starts off. Pre-orders of the game are now available on current-gen and next-gen platforms.
