David Blough was first signed by the Cleveland Browns in 2019 as an undrafted free agent. In the same year, the Browns swapped him with the Lions in an exchange. The Lions needed him as their starting quarterback Matthew Stafford and backup quarterback Jeff Driskel were both injured. Early Life

David Blough was born in 1995. He started as a backup quarterback in 2014 and attended the spring camp of Purdue University under coach Darrell Hazell. He led the Boilermakers to a win against Nebraska. In 2016 he started 12 games as a redshirt sophomore. In 2017 he finished the game 11-for-13 passing for 235 yards and three scores which can be considered as a perfect passer rating by NFL standards. His NFL career started in 2019.
