David Blough To Start In Week 18
Arizona Cardinals quarterback David Blough will start in Week 18 against the San Francisco 49ers. The veteran quarterback made his first start of the year against the Atlanta Falcons last week. He completed 60% of his pass attempts for 222 yards and a touchdown last week and scored 13.6 fantasy points. With Kyler Murray (knee) and Colt McCoy (concussion) unable to play, Blough will make his second consecutive start. However, fantasy players have no reason to add the veteran quarterback to their roster. The 49ers have an elite defense, while the quarterback will be without star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee).

The Arizona Cardinals signed quarterback David Blough off the Minnesota Vikings practice squad on Wednesday, according to a source. Blough will take the roster spot of Kyler Murray (knee), who was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve after tearing his left ACL in the Monday night loss to the New England Patriots. Barring injury, veteran Colt McCoy should close out the season as Arizona's starting signal-caller. He'll be backed up by Trace McSorley and Blough. The 27-year-old Blough has not played at all this year while with the Vikings. In three NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions, Blough has thrown for 1,033 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions on 184 pass attempts in seven games (five starts).

The Vikings signed quarterback David Blough to its practice squad on Saturday. The Lions recently released him after suiting up for the team sporadically over the last three seasons. He compiled 1,033 yards, seven interceptions, and four touchdowns during that span. Even worse, the 27-year-old completed just 54.3% of his throws. Nevertheless, Blough has a long way to go before he's relevant to fantasy managers, even if he gets promoted to the 53-man roster at some point during the year.

The Detroit Lions released quarterback David Blough on Wednesday, according to sources. The Lions decided to cut Blough after they brought in Nate Sudfeld as a backup. Blough didn't impress the team in training camp or the preseason and will now look to latch on with another organization before the start of the regular season. The 27-year-old completed 100 of his 184 passing attempts for 1,033 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions in seven games (five starts) in his three seasons with the Lions. Sudfeld, who was cut by the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday, will now be Jared Goff's direct backup entering the 2022 regular season.
