Evan Neal NEWS
Evan Neal Expected To Play Through Injury
New York Giants offensive tackle Evan Neal (ankle) suffered what is considered to be a minor ankle injury in practice on Thursday, according to source. However, it should not affect his availability to play in the wild-card game on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Neal was listed as limited in Thursday's session after getting hurt. It's good news for the Giants that the 22-year-old will be able to play because he has turned into a solid starting right tackle for them this season. Still, his ankle injury could affect him this weekend, so it will be something to watch on the right side of New York's offensive line.
Jan 13, 2023 • 5:43 PM | RotoBallerEvan Neal Expected To Miss 3-4 Weeks
New York Giants rookie offensive tackle Evan Neal (knee) is expected to miss three to four weeks due to an MCL injury that he suffered in the Week 7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, according to a source. Neal will miss a little bit of time, but the good news is that the first-round pick will be back this season. He was listed as week-to-week earlier on Monday and is officially dealing with a Grade 2 MCL sprain. Devery Hamilton is likely to draw the start at right tackle in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks. Neal's injury will be a downgrade for the Giants offense for the next three to four weeks. The 22-year-old came off the board with the seventh overall pick out of Alabama earlier this year.
Oct 25, 2022 • 3:40 AM | RotoBallerEvan Neal Believed To Have MCL Sprain
New York Giants rookie offensive tackle Evan Neal (knee) is believed to have a Grade 2 MCL sprain of his knee based on early tests, according to a source. The top-10 pick could miss some time moving forward, but it's to be determined. Neal, the seventh overall pick out of Alabama earlier this year, had started all seven games so far this year for the G-Men in his first NFL season. It remains to be seen how much time the 22-year-old will miss, but it will certainly be a downgrade for the Giants offensive line. With Neal injured, it's possible that Devery Hamilton will be forced to start in a Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks on the road.

New York Giants tackle Evan Neal (knee) is believed to have suffered a PCL injury. If confirmed, he could miss multiple games, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The talented rookie has offered key protection in the trenches this season, so his injury does not bode well for the production of Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and other key New York playmakers. Tyre Phillips will take over at right tackle in Neal's absence.
