Alec Pierce Will Play In Week 3
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and will play in Week 3. The Colts will now get back Michael Pittman Jr. (quadriceps) along with Pierce, in what should be a high-scoring affair with the Kansas City Chiefs. Pierce didn't record a catch on two targets in his NFL debut, so he is a hard player to trust in fantasy lineups given how involved Jonathan Taylor and Pittman Jr. will be in the offense. Fantasy managers should find better options to slot into their lineups until he can establish a prominent role as one of Matt Ryan's go-to pass-catchers.

Alec Pierce Returns To Practice On Wednesday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) was able to return to practice on Wednesday. The rookie wideout was unable to play in Week 2 due to a concussion. His absence gave way for Ashton Dulin to haul in five receptions for 79 yards. The expectation is that Dulin will go back to a rotational role once the Colts get healthy. Pierce is expected to play in Week 3, but remains off the fantasy radar in most formats.

Alec Pierce Making Progress
Indianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Alec Pierce (head), who is in the league's concussion protocol, was upgraded to a limited practice on Thursday after he didn't practice on Wednesday. Pierce hasn't been cleared for contact yet, but he's clearly making progress after suffering a concussion in the Week 1 tie with the Houston Texans. Still, the 22-year-old will likely be questionable for Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With No. 1 receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (quadriceps) also on the injury report this week, Parris Campbell, Ashton Dulin and Mike Strachan could be looking at bigger roles in Week 2. Pierce, who was a standout during training camp, failed to catch his only two targets in the season opener while playing 51% of the offensive snaps.

Alec Pierce In The Concussion Protocol
Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich said that rookie wide receiver Alec Pierce (head) developed concussion symptoms after the tie in Week 1 to the Houston Texans and is now in the league's concussion protocol. The 22-year-old second-rounder took a huge hit in the game that bent his facemask. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to get cleared before the team's Week 2 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday. Pierce played 51 percent of the snaps in his NFL debut last Sunday failed to catch either of his two targets. If he is forced to sit this weekend, Michael Pittman Jr. and Parris Campbell will be the team's top two receivers, with Ashton Dulin, Dezmon Patmon and Mike Strachan battling for the No. 3 role. Pass-catching running back Nyheim Hines, who caught all six of his targets in the opener, could be used more as a receiver as well.
